Biography

I was born and raised in Opelousas and pursued my higher education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and an Honor’s Baccalaureate Degree. My undergraduate thesis was titled "Perceptions Versus Realities of Plea Bargaining."

In 2011, I earned a Juris Doctor and Diploma in Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law. During my time there, I was honored with a PILS Fellowship and an LSU LAW Scholarship. I was actively involved in the Legal Association of Women, Black Law Student Association, and Public Interest Law Society. Additionally, I interned with the Mental Health Advocacy Services and participated in LSU LAW’s Juvenile Representation Clinic.

With over ten years of legal practice, I focus on personal injury, appellate practice, and legal research and writing. I also serve as a Juvenile Public Defender for the 15th Judicial District Public Defender’s Office, providing legal representation to juveniles accused of committing crimes. This role reflects my deep commitment to supporting the youth in our community.

Previously, I clerked for district court judges in the 15th and 27th Judicial District Courts. I am actively involved in several community organizations focused on youth mentorship, community enrichment, and education.

I am dedicated to serving individuals in need and offer compassionate and personalized care for personal injury cases. In 2024, I founded Gallien Law to ensure diligent and competent care for personal injury victims. I understand the challenges victims face in communicating with their attorneys and advancing their cases. At Gallien Law, we prioritize effective communication and case management. Rest assured you are in good hands.
