Chris Mares

Chris J. Mares, J.D. is an attorney and counselor at law with his law office in the Fox River Valley, Wisconsin area since 1984. He received his Bachelor of Science, Business Administration degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Chris’ concentration for his law practice is Estate Planning and the counseling of clients in the areas of estate, tax, charitable and business planning.

He is a co-author of the Your Life Your Legacy -The Fundamentals of Effective Estate Planning, the book which explains estate planning in understandable terms. Chris is also a co-author of the book Love, Money and Control: Reinventing Estate Planning. It provides a clear explanation of how to achieve your goals, wishes and desires through comprehensive estate planning. He additionally is a co-author of the “Estate Planning Strategies” book that is written to help understand the many planning techniques available for your individual estate plan. The book is a collection of wisdom and proven strategies with cutting edge ideas. Chris has also lectured widely on estate planning topics and issues.

Chris and his wife, Mary, have two children, Colleen and Kevin. They live in the Fox Valley and are active in charitable and community organizations.
