Brant T. Christiansen
Lewis Hansen Waldo Pleshe & Flanders, LLCBrant Christiansen (JD, LLM, MBA) is a partner in the LEWIS HANSEN law firm in Salt Lake City, Utah. His practice focuses on estate planning, probate, trust and estate administration, tax planning, small business organization, contract drafting, and elder law issues, including guardianship matters. Brant also offers gift and estate tax return preparation. Brant’s strength as a practitioner is his ability to identify his clients’ needs and forge a practicable solution. He has successfully helped a wide range of clients, from those with moderate estates to high-wealth individuals, create sensible and tax-advantageous estate plans. Brant helps clients navigate the probate process and advises trustees and personal representatives on how to best carry out their duties. Brant has advised several small businesses and sole proprietors about contractual matters and has drafted and reviewed sales, employment, purchase, and service contracts. In addition, Brant has advised partnerships, LLCs, S corporations, sole proprietors, and trusts and estates in organizational and taxation matters. Brant received an LLM (masters in law) in taxation from New York University, his law degree from the University of Utah, and his masters of business administration from the University of Phoenix. He was also a Utah State Aggie, graduating with his bachelor of science in communications and economics. He was an associate editor of the Utah Law Review, completed two externships with Justice Matthew Durrant of the Utah Supreme Court, served as the Seniors Lawyer Volunteer Program fellow at Utah Legal Services, and clerked for the Tax and Revenue division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office. In law school, Brant was awarded the S.J. Quinney Foundation Scholarship, was a William H. Leary Scholar, garnered several academic awards, and graduated in the top 10% of his class and a member of the Order of the Coif. He is admitted to practice in Utah and the U.S. Tax Court.
