Knowledgeable. Empathetic. Thorough. Determined. All characteristics you want in your lawyer. No one wakes up in the morning wanting to sue or be sued. But sometimes, life takes you into uncomfortable situations where you have to react. We first had our initial conversation with Ben to understand our options. Ben was very patient and exercised a level of empathy and passion one would not expect from a typical lawyer in an initial consultation. He explained the legal terms and the risks for each of the options that were plausible for our situation. He was personable, knowledgeable and most importantly, showed that he cared about our case and the settlement we were after. He provided his professional advice and walked us through how he would proceed with the situation. Throughout the engagement, Ben was very communicative. He provided updates in a very timely and effective manner and worked through the ever changing dynamics of the situation. The opposing lawyer was very difficult to work with but Ben tackled it with professionalism and a smile. After months of negotiations, we were able to settle the case that was beneficial to both parties and it was all due to Ben's ability to acutely identify the right moments to compromise and the timing of when to stand firm.
