Barrett dedicates his practice to working for victims of injustice and fighting corporate entities that value profits over the health and safety of people. It is his belief that all victims deserve the best and most focused representation that drives him to aggressively fight for his clients.
Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, Barrett graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. It was in his early career as a graduate student that Barrett first displayed his flair for the law, at which time he was presented with the CALI Award for Legal Research and Writing earning the highest grade in his section. After law school, Barrett moved to Houston to work for a national litigation law firm and has remained in Houston where he lives with his wife, daughter and son.
Barrett has spent the past decade and beyond helping victims recover compensation for their pain and suffering. To date, he has successfully helped countless individuals seek justice through personal injury claims and lawsuits. As an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Asbestos Litigation Group and the Texas Association of Consumer Lawyers (TACL), Barrett is both professionally and personally invested in his clients.
Barrett has worked to achieve substantial verdicts and settlements for his clients in jurisdictions throughout the country. In recognition of the quality of his work, Barrett has repeatedly been named as a “Rising Star” in the Super Lawyers edition of Texas Monthly, a distinction reserved for the top 2.5% of Texas attorneys who are under 40 years of age or have been practicing less than 10 years.
With more than a decade of practice to his name, Barrett is licensed in the states of Texas, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Louisiana. In addition, he holds professional membership with the State Bar of Texas, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Louisiana Bar Association.
