Anne Jordan
Anne Jordan is the Executive Director of the Maine Independent Commission to Investigate the Lewiston Tragedy. She was appointed to this limited term position in November of 2023 and came out of retirement to assume the position. Prior to retirement she was the Manager of Criminal Process and Specialty Dockets for the Maine Judicial Branch. In that capacity, she provided legal research and assistance to the Branch, oversaw the data unit, the Coordinator of Specialty Dockets and trained and supervised Maine's Bail Commissioners. She also served as the Judicial Branch's liaison to the Criminal Rules Advisory Committee, the Criminal Law Advisory Committee, the Sex Offender Commission, the Yellow Flag law implementation committee and two Pretrial Justice Reform Committees. She was the primary author of two PTJR reports as well as two editions of the Maine Bail Manual.

Ms. Jordan has served as a college instructor in criminal law and public policy, the Commissioner of Public Safety for the State of Maine for nearly four years, an attorney in private practice for 17 years and as a prosecutor in the York County District Attorney's Office for 6 years. She also served on the Maine Criminal Justice Academy Board of Trustees, as as Chair of the Maine Commission on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and on Maine's Pardons Board for over sixteen years. She has been a long time member of the National Criminal Justice Association, a nonpartisan national organization that advocates for evidence based best practices and high quality use of federal criminal justice grant funds. NCJA is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in August 2024. Anne was elected President of the Board of Directors in October 2020. She completed her two year term in 2022 and currently serves on the Executive Board.
Anne currently serves on her community's Comprehensive Plan Committee.
