Andra Greene

Andra Greene, a Phillips ADR neutral, has mediated disputes from seven to 11 figures in mass torts, class actions, securities, sexual misconduct, insurance, and intellectual property. She spent 35 years at Irell & Manella LLP, leading the Class Action Defense practice and serving as managing partner of the Newport Beach office and on the Executive Committee.

A seasoned trial lawyer, Andra handled complex litigation in class actions, professional liability, employment, business torts, securities, and intellectual property in state and federal courts. She often represented lawyers and law firms. Recognized as a “Top Woman Lawyer in California” by the Daily Journal five times, she was named Orange County’s 2018 “Bet-the-Company Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers, received the 2018 Orange County Women Lawyers Association Attorney of the Year, and the 2017 Marcus Kaufman Jurisprudence Award.

Andra teaches at UC Irvine Law, speaks at CLE programs, and co-edited The Woman Advocate. She has volunteered extensively for the homeless, earning the 2010 ACLU Social Justice Award, and served on the Public Law Center’s Board. She held leadership roles in the Federal Bar Association and American Bar Association.

Andra graduated magna cum laude from Brown University (Economics) and earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She clerked for Judge Catherine B. Kelly and worked at Akin Gump before joining Irell. A yoga instructor and arts enthusiast, Andra serves on the Segerstrom Center for the Arts Board. She lives with her husband, four grown children, one granddaughter, and two Siberian Huskies.
