- Dolf focuses in the corporate and international areas and has extensive experience in handling various corporate and business transactions including financings, private equity, securities, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings and contractual arrangements involving most parts of the world with the most significant and recent emphasis being on Western Europe (especially the U.K., Spain, France and Ireland), Canada, and Central and South America (especially Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela), including the Caribbean, China, Hong Kong, Japan and parts of the Arab Middle East, on behalf of U.S. and foreign clients. Dolf supervises a team at Ropes Gray that advises financial institutions on the foreign securities laws of foreign countries. This team has advised clients during the past three years on the securities and related investment laws of over one hundred foreign countries. Dolf has advised clients in connection with their international estate planning and wealth protection and transfer issues. Dolf has served as general counsel to clients, and has had extensive experience managing and supervising major arbitration, mediation and litigation matters, including development of strategy, both domestically and internationally (principally Canada, Asia (particularly Hong Kong, China and Japan), Western Europe and South America).
