Forever grateful Kim is the most knowledgeable immigration attorney you will speak to in Boise and all of Idaho (and even Nevada!). Kim has worked closely on my immigration case since 2018, and I always proudly announce that she is my attorney. Kim's work is passionate and purposeful; her efforts are relentless and extremely effective. Her knowledge of the current immigration laws is impressive. Not to mention, she has the kindest personality and an adventurous heart, which helped me feel at ease when I had to share all of the traumatic events from the past to help me build my political asylum case. The immigration process isn't necessarily a breeze for many people, including me, and in moments when my anxiety drives me crazy, Kim always has a detailed answer to every single one of my million questions. She is very responsive, and I know she is always there to help because of her commitment to making this world a better place. A couple of years after we submitted all the documents, my case got approved, and my green card application is coming up next. The last time I visited Kim's office, my immigration-related anxiety was completely gone. 0 Stars!!! This is the first business review I have written, and I wish it was for positive reasons. DO NOT HIRE KIM SCHAEFER as your attorney, if you're looking for an attorney that understands the value of communicating with the client. I have used Schaefer Law on 1 other occasion, and had the pleasure of working with Monee Lee (retired). The vast difference in working with both attorneys became immediatley apparent. Kim is quick to take your money, but will ignore your texts/calls/voicemails/emails. Kim was responsible for applying for a travel document that would allow me to be present for my Grandmothers funeral. She was also responsible for renewing my visa. Now my visa expires in less than 30 days, and I missed my grandmothers funeral as result of Kim's communication & reliability. Kim was also responsible for applying for Green Cards for 2 family members of mine. She took the money, and we have not received a reply in communication. When I finally did get contact back from Kim (after weeks of chasing her) she simply stated, If communication is what I'm looking for, then find another attorney that meets my needs. Save yourself the money & heartache of having your immigration process delayed. GO FIND ANOTHER ATTORNEY!!!
