About Ed Wallis

I was born in Jackson, Tennessee where I still accept cases today in a variety of areas. I am currently admitted to practice before all courts in the state of Tennessee, including state courts (2004) and the United States District Courts for the Western District of Tennessee (2005), Middle District of Tennessee (2006), and Eastern District of Tennessee (2011). I am also licensed to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas (2007), as well as both the United States Supreme Court (2011) and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (2005).

I received my B.S., magna cum laude in 2001 from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Major in Finance and Minor in Spanish. I then received my Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law in 2004. While in law school, I was the Editor-in-Chief of the Richmond Journal of Law & Technology and a Member of both the Moot Court Board and the Moot Court Competition Team (National Finalist). I also was a student member of the Inns of Court. I have been published professionally including in the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology, the Cleveland State Law Review, and the North Dakota Law Review. When not practicing law, I have had the opportunity to speak professionally at continuing legal education programs to other attorneys.

Prior to joining my current firm, I served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable S. Thomas Anderson in the United States District Court for Western District of Tennessee. I also worked along side his father in Jackson, Tennessee at Moss, Benton & Wallis, PLLC, where he handled real estate closings, drafted wills and trusts and assisted with a general commercial and civil litigation practice.

My practice areas are varied and include:

*professional malpractice (medical malpractice and legal malpractice)
*commercial litigation
*construction litigation
*medical device litigation
*real estate litigation
*probate litigation and will contests

I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you about the specific facts of your case.
