Tiyesha N. Decosta
Tiyesha N. Decosta's Response: Reviews from clients who are disgruntled and accuse lawyers of stealing should not be taken seriously. This client paid a $1500 retainer. Requests were made to replenish the retainer, did not happen. A divorce was filed, complaint for equitable distribution, child support, and alimony were filed. I also negotiated a consent order for child support. To that end, I am owed money. Next, no one confused Ms. Mullen with another client. And Ms. Mullen matter was continued, not because I chose to, but because the court has a hierarchy and there were two matters scheduled for the same day. Ms. Mullens case did not take priority. Also, it should be noted I advised I was withdrawing after Ms. Mullen was not truthful. It is not advisable to be dishonest with your lawyer when opposing counsel has proof of the dishonesty. Based on this review, I have decided to file a defamation suit, so I will not say anything else.
