Thorough, Personable Attorney: Highly Recommended! Rory helped me to cancel a lease for a rental property. I had not been able to see the property without a tenant in it prior to the move-in date. When I could see it, I was appalled at its condition (visible mold, mouse droppings, dust in the vents, pet stains, etc.). I wouldn't take possession of the property, but my former lease was ending soon. I needed someone to cancel the lease ASAP, and I was lucky enough to reach Rory on a Friday afternoon. He immediately gave me options for how to handle the situation, told me what to prepare for the options I chose, and quoted me a price that was remarkably reasonable (especially in light of the amount of time that he ended up spending on this case). He remained in constant contact with me throughout the next 2 weeks, while the landlord and the property manager postponed a response to his letter, feigned ignorance at the state of the property, and dithered about how they would repay the large deposit we had left on the property. Rory assessed the possibility of our success in having the lease cancelled without going to court (although he would have been happy to do that as well). His confidence enabled me to move forward with alternative living arrangements.
