Worst Attorney Ever! Richard E. A. Dwyer represented me in my divorce case, which is a domestic violence case. Not only did I lose everything and was left homeless while being represented by him, but after filing for divorce more than 10yrs ago (Jun 23, 2011) I’m still married to my abuser today. I lost my home, all my furniture, my vehicles, my business, all my assets, my personal belongings, my family heirlooms given to me by my mother who has passed away, all my Childrens’ awards, a lifetime of photos and videos, and so much more that can never be replaced… EVERYTHING! After he repeatedly convinced me to “hang in there”, he dragged my case out for more than a decade, and then withdrew from the case with court ordered $Millions owed to me from my abuser. Let me warn you, he talks real good and doesn’t follow through on anything! It was as though he was working for my abuser undercover. He does not follow the guidelines of the California Family Law. God help you if you hire this man! View More

Richard Eric Anthony Dwyer's Response: False review. We won the domestic violence trial and further got the restraining order renewed in highly litigated multi-day proceedings. We got her husband sanctioned for discovery abuses. We got the client sole physical custody of the parties' son. We obtained support which the client received until their son graduated from high school. Each of these facts can be verified by a review of the Court orders and Santa Clara Superior Court file. Sadly, the client moved to Southern California during the case (I'm in Northern California) and I had to file a motion to withdraw, which the client tried to oppose. The Court granted my motion and this false review was posted. Under California law, parties can file for a status-only dissolution and get divorced six months after the filing of the divorce petition. This client chose not to do so. I respected her decision.
