“$1,500 Vanished in 9 Days – No Case, No Communication, No Refund” I hired Yarbrough and paid him a partial retainer of $1,500, expecting legal guidance. Within just 9 business days, I had to end the engagement due to his complete lack of communication. He didn’t return calls, didn’t respond to emails, and provided zero updates. No case was ever opened, and no legal work was done. After I fired him, I asked for a refund—only to be told that not only was I not getting my retainer back, but that I owed him money. Non communicated lying rip off of $1,000.00 retainers fee My spouse & I attempted to retain this "attorney", if you will, in a case with DHR/CPS of Limestone County Alabama. Dealing with the department for a third time on false allegations, the first two times the cases was dismissed & deemed not true. However, as many know, dealing with DHR is like dealing with an organization that's above the law. The second time, they removed our children, traumizing them, for 11 days before dismissing charges. That's where this lawyer comes in, today, October 12, 2022, it's been a month since the kids were removed on September 12, 2022. We have not had any communication from his end without our reaching out to him first. We've not had any meetings, any communication whatsoever. The ad for this particular lawyer says, retainer fee between $500 - $1500, we opted to pay $1000.00. We received a certified letter from DHR telling us we are to attend a meeting tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. & had to reach out to him about this meeting he knew nothing of and we were told he couldn't make it & would have to reschedule. This is the point my husband decides to fire him & calls him and tells him he's fired & he wants his money back. Mr. Yarbrough then tells my husband that he had indeed done $1,000.00 worth of work on this case and he would not be refunded. All this say, this lawyer will not communicate with paid clients, he is dishonest and he is a rip off.
