I am a family law lawyer in Ohio in need of consulting an elder law and trust lawyer practicing in Nassau/Queens Counties for our common client. I interviewed this lawyer and my client hired this lawyer to draft a first party Special Needs Trust 12/2021-2/2022.

I represented a client residing in Nassau County, NY in a divorce case in Akron, Ohio. In order to complete the divorce case in Ohio , my client needed to retain an elder law and trust lawyer in Nassau County, NY. I interviewed and worked with Attorney Kim Christian in our overlapping practice areas of Ohio family law and New York elder/trust law. My client hired Atty. Christian and The Russo Law Group to draft a first party Special Needs Trust.

Atty. Christian and The Russo Law Group were very proficient with an extremely high expertise in the practice areas of elder law, estate and trust planning.

Legal Analysis: Excellent

Atty. Christian had a very high proficiency in analyzing the family law situation our common client had in Ohio with overlapping elder law and trust planning in New York. She offered very helpful and timely legal solutions so we could meld our overlapping practice areas under very tight deadline and timeline restrictions over the 2021 Winter and 2022 New Years Holidays and during a COVID spike.

Communication Skills: Excellent

During the 2021 Winter Holidays and 2022 New Years Holiday, Atty. Christian, our client and I , were able to conduct virtual Zoom conference wherein Atty. Christian was prepared and communicated with a high decree of understanding and expertise the very complex principles of trust and Special Needs planning. She was very good with explaining the pros and cons of a first party special needs trust and a pooling trust.
