Lawyer Abandonment Unfortunately, my employer Pacific Energy Network out of Chino, CA. was not operating up to the California code. I sustained an injury at this company and the owner did not have workers compensation. This situation caused me to seek an attorney, and I came across Jerry Wagstaff. I had called other local attorneys, however, they did not except Uninsured Employers Benefit Trust Fund- (EUBTF). I soon found out why. Had the opportunity to go to Jerry's office, and that was also an experience. Jerry lives and works out of the same place. I was not aware of that at the time, but as time went on it seemed more apparent. When I hired Jerry it was n the bases of his years in the business and the fact that he said EUBTF was his specialty. He was doing good in the beginning, then the doctor that he fond on a lien retired. When I notified him of that, Jerry told me he knew already . He also informed me that he did not have another doctor for me and that I was to find one for myself and send him the receipts. I did not like the sound of that, I hired him so he could do the foot work not me. What if I forgot a receipt, or what if I went to the wrong person? Meaning, I'm under the impression that only some doctors are familiar with the working of the EUBTF court procedures, and how the lien processes works. Either way this was not for me, I wanted firm strong representation. He did not do that, so I went with a different firm. Jerry did not have what it took, he misrepresented him self as an EUBTF expert, and he left me with a lien on the case for the little work he did. I do believe he is due a compensation. Just not sure what that entails, due to the fact I do not have an itemized list of work done. I've requested it, however, Mr. Wagstaff will not comply. View More
