Met James through his late Father, James H. Price III (also known as Chip Price). James is part of a State of SC think tank of DUI lawyers. He also began his career working for the Greenville County Solicitor's Office as a prosecutor, and honed his trail skills on the "other side," before joining his father and sister at Price Law Firm PA.

2020, but have known him for a longer period of time. His father and I met in 1990 at the late Reese Joye's office in North Charleston, SC. Over the last decade, I have gotten to know James through legal seminars and meetings focusing on criminal law topics.
Q. Was this lawyer an effective advocate/counselor and why?
Yes

James is very confident in his writing skills and in his courtroom presentation. He learned from one of South Carolina's most renown litigator's --- his father. The relentless and determined trial techniques of his father were taught to James, along with the high-level training her received by acting as an assistant solicitor for many years prior to going into private practice.

Legal Knowledge: Excellent

By being part of the same criminal law focus group, James and I have had the opportunity to get to know each other over the last decade.

Legal Analysis: Excellent

James is fully capable for litigating Title IX defense cases, which fewer than half of 1% of all attorneys have handled. In addition, he is just as comfortable in a personal injury lawsuit or a contested divorce case.

Communication Skills: Excellent

James is not a boastful or self-promoting person at all. Yet, when a legal issue is being discussed, he tracks and can contribute to the conversation. He is very much like his late father, Chip, in that he takes in all that is being said, but only speaks when he has new or a contrary position to assert.

Ethics and Professionalism: Excellent

James knows and abides by all the Bar rules. Being a descendant of three prior generations of Greenville SC lawyers, the Price Law firm has been a vital part of Greenville County since 1906. His calm but prescient manner sometimes surprises people, since he does not seek to dominate a conversation, but has taken it all in, and then gives his feedback or opinion.
