David Sanford and I have worked on several cases together representing clients of our firm. He and I have collaborated in mediations, court hearings and client counseling sessions.

The first significant matter David and I worked on was an employment mediation in December 2015 involving an executive at a major investment firm, which resulted in a successful resolution for our client. Since then, we have worked on several class action matters together, most recently in 2020 on two multi-million dollar retirement plan cases against Fortune 100 companies .

David seems to have a natural talent for accurately gauging the risks, rewards and value of every case. Even when the team comes under the stress of litigation, David always exhibits patience and persistence. Nothing seems to faze him. When other lawyers would have settled, David took the largest ever gender discrimination case to trial, resulting in a unanimous jury verdict of over $250 million for his clients.

David is a voracious reader of judicial opinions, and seizes on every opportunity to learn something new and commit an incredible expanse of legal knowledge to memory. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of employment law, class action litigation, mediators, judges, and trial advocacy. David could not have achieved the outstanding results for his clients without having a superior knowledge of the law.

Legal Analysis: Excellent

David is able to size-up a legal issue quickly - and his assessment is routinely correct. But he also digs deeper into alternative theories of the case, encouraging those who have competing beliefs to express their thoughts. This fosters a innovative culture, empowering his legal team to develop their best ideas.
