Attorney Koufman and I attended Northeastern University School of Law together. We were both on the Law Journal together. We were in the same section. His successes in classes allowed for him to achieve highly coveted internships, like one with a federal judge at the John Joseph Moakley US Courthouse. Since that time, we have worked on cases together. His work product continues to represent the pinnacle of effective advocacy at the highest levels in very complex cases.

Attorney Koufman consistently finds cases to help his clients' positions. He is able to draw on a wealth of knowledge and practical experience in his advocacy for his clients.

Legal Analysis: Excellent

Attorney Koufman and I have worked together in situations where we have had to analyze whether or not certain cases match certain fact patterns as he prepares for motions in the various courts in which he practices, including but not limited to the Superior Court and the District Court of Massachusetts. I know also that he is barred in the Federal Court. I am always impressed by his ability to analogize fact patters in language that a judge accepts and meaningfully considers.

Communication Skills: Excellent

Attorney Koufman's clients are happy to have an attorney that responds to them quickly, with accurate information. Attorney Koufman recognizes that many aspects of his job are rather esoteric, and he is happy to find ways to effectively explain legal concepts to lay people. When he talks to the judges and prosecutors, he is able to explain things in terms that those individuals accept.
