Brendan has very strong substantive law knowledge of the fields in which he works, and these are fields which are not well known by many lawyers. He has tremendous subject matter expertise in the Oil and Gas and Marcellus Gas law arenas and particularly with regard to curative title litigation, lease expiration claims, lease negotiations, royalty disputes, right of way negotiations and dispute resolution, royalty audits, surface agreements and tax and estate planning related to energy issues.

Very strong legal knowledge in Oil and Gas, Marcellus Gas, Land Use, Zoning, Renewable Energy including solar and wind energy, pore space ownership, legacy oil and gas rights, land use variances, exceptions and conditional uses and eminent domain. He also has a solid understanding of the environmental issues which play a huge role in his areas of practice.

Legal Analysis: Excellent

His analysis is excellent because of the very strong substantive legal knowledge which I discussed above.

Communication Skills: Excellent

He is a very critical thinker in a good way and he is sharp and insightful in his legal analysis and recommendations. He is appreciated by his clients for the clarity of his thinking and advocacy in the courtroom and otherwise, and for his high level knowledge of the law.
