I tried to refer about 10 cases to this lawyer.

Q. Was this lawyer an effective advocate/counselor and why?

I tried to refer about a dozen cases to him. He represented that he only took one case. And he was not successful in obtaining a settlement equal to what an expert thought that the case was worth. Only about 1/10 of what it was worth did he recover and he stiffed me on the referral fee. He also defamed me to the client. He is unethical and lazy.

He misrepresented to the client about CA Professional Responsibility rules and used a form brief on their compliant that wasn't well written.

Again, I discovered that he used a form brief on the client's compliant that wasn't well written.

Communication Skills: Poor

He just stiffed me and didn't get back to me. There were also times when the client reached out to me because he could not reach Reccius.

Ethics and Professionalism: Poor

Any lawyer who stiffs another lawyer on the referral fee after he puts in writing that he will pay a 25% referral fee, and then says he won't pay because he forgot to include that simple statement in the letter with the client is unprofessional and unethical. He was admonished by two judges when I sued him for breach of contract for "having bad business practices" and told that he "shouldn't do that" - "that" being stiffing other lawyers.
