For the majority of my career I was a prosecutor, thus we would oppose each other on occasion. During this time, Ms. Bermant advocated for her clients effectively.

Between 2000 and 2021, I worked with Ms. Bermant on no less than 4 different cases, with the last one occurring during 2019.

Ms. Bermant is always prepared and efficient. She knew her cases intimately and would use that to her advantage to advocate for her client, whether that be for a dismissal or for a reduced sentence.

Legal Knowledge: Excellent

Ms. Bermant, as stated previously, was always well versed on her cases, which included relevant legal knowledge, including both statutory and case law, which supported her position.

Legal Analysis: Excellent

Ms. Bermant has an excellent ability to translate Constitutional, statutory and case law to the facts in which her client is accused, and deduce how the current state of the law would support or hurt her case.

Communication Skills: Excellent

I only wish other attorneys would communicate with opposing counsel as well as Ms. Bermant, as she would ALWAYS return calls, emails or texts in discussing cases.

Ethics and Professionalism: Excellent

Ms. Bermant would always appear in court prior to the starting time, and ready to go! Her degree of professionalism is what every lawyer should strive for. To have this degree of professionalism, it is an absolute must it be built on a firm ethical foundation.
