Q. In the cases you were involved in with this attorney, which of the following apply?
  • Same Client

We repped a mutual client on a personal injury matter.

Q. When did you work with this lawyer?
2023-2024
Q. Was this lawyer an effective advocate/counselor and why?
Yes

In my experience working with A.J., he has been an extremely effective advocate. We had an injury case where collection was a primary issue. A.J. successfully guided the client through the collections process while contemporaneously advocating zealously on the client’s behalf for full payment of the judgment. We successfully obtained a full payment of the judgment which was, in part, directly attributable to A.J.’s skills as an effective advocate.

Q. Please rate this lawyer on the following:

Legal Knowledge: Excellent

A.J. is a reservoir of legal knowledge that likely extends back to his younger years in military service to our country. He has a vast array of knowledge in the areas of civil litigation, particularly in the areas of maritime law, construction law, business litigation, and collections. A.J. is usually looking for the next continuing education event to not only build on the knowledge he has already acquired, but to also develop knowledge in new areas related to his legal practice

Legal Analysis: Excellent

When deciding whether or not to accept a new client, A.J. performs an extensive evaluation of the case to parse out as many legal issues as can be seen in the onset of the matter. His ability to spot legal issues is a direct result from his commitment to honing and refining the skills that he developed prior to, during, and even after law school.

Communication Skills: Excellent

As stated earlier, I attended law school with A.J. where he served the students in various roles of the Student Bar Administration, including Senator, Treasurer, and President where he often had to give speeches in front of a multitude of people. These roles began the minting process with regard to A.J.’s communication skills which has no doubt continued throughout his years as a licensed attorney.

Ethics and Professionalism: Excellent

I actually had an ethics class with A.J. way back when we attended law school together. To my knowledge, A.J. received excellent marks in that course, and he always strives to be an active listener and is not afraid to ask questions. Being a military veteran, A.J.’s sense of honor and duty align with his repertoire of always trying to do the right thing.

Q. For which practice area(s) would you recommend this lawyer?
A.J.’s knowledge and experience dates back to his early years in construction as a contractor building homes to his experience as a boatswain’s mate in the U.S. Coast Guard where he served the public in the areas of search and rescue, law enforcement, and anti-terrorism. It is apparent that A.J. has applied his past knowledge and skills to many areas in the practice of civil litigation, including the areas of maritime, construction, and business law.

  • Appeals
  • Collaboration
  • Legal Research
  • Legal Writing
  • Litigation
  • Negotiation
  • Oral Argument
Q. I would recommend this lawyer to my family and friends
