Stephen “Steve” Joseph Ryan was born in the Bronx, where his mother worked as a nurse and his father was an officer with the New York Police Department. In the early ’90s, Steve moved to Tallahassee, Florida to continue his studies at Florida State University’s College of Law, where he met fellow law student and his future law partner, Shawn Risen. In 1995, Steve graduated with honors and received a Juris Doctorate, and one year later, Steve and Shawn Risen established Risen & Ryan, Attorneys at Law.

Ryan is a partner in the firm Lowe Eklund Wakefield & Mulvihill Co. LPA. He has been a trial attorney for 21 years limiting his practice to plaintiff personal injury litigation. He has tried cases throughout Ohio in both state and federal courts and has successfully argued before the Ohio Supreme Court. Mr. Fisher has obtained millions of dollars in compensation for victims injured or killed in automobile, truck and motorcycle accidents, as well as in medical negligence, product liability and premises liability cases. Law was a natural fit for Steve’s competitive nature. He likes to win, he likes structure and he believes in the system. His practice began in Little Rock in the early 90’s and over his 15 years there, he steadily gravitated to more and more family law. When the chance came to relocate to NW Arkansas in the fall of 2007, his wife, June, and his children Alex and Emily helped him close his private practice and he moved into our family law division, focusing exclusively on helping families in this difficult area.
