Michael started working on construction sites with his dad at a very young age. In 1986 he worked as a laborer then moved up to carpenter building Hamilton Place mall in Chattanooga. In 1989 he obtained an Associate Degree in Construction Engineering then went to work as a commercial Superintendent for a large national General Contractor. In 1993, he became a business owner of a commercial general contracting firm that grew to building in 13 states.
