Matthew was born and raised in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He graduated from Louisiana State University on May 15, 1989 with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. He enrolled at Mississippi College School of Law in August of 1989. Federick M. Goldberg has been a member of the California Bar for over 45 years. As a prosecutor for the LA City Attorney's Office from 1961 to 1963, he prosecuted numerous criminal cases for the Los Angeles Police Department and the California Highway Patrol.
