I grew up in Southwest Missouri and was awarded the President’s Scholarship from Missouri State University (formerly Southwest Missouri State University) as well as a Bright Flight Scholarship. I graduated MSU cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. I was awarded the Lincoln-Harno Scholarship for the University of Illinois, College of Law.
