John J. Patout Jr. (“Jay”) primarily practices construction, real estate, and development law with an emphasis on complex commercial and residential related matters. Mr. Patout works with clients during all phases of the acquisition, development, and construction and with owners, prime/general contractors, and tiered contractors at all levels. Mr. Patout has litigated a multitude of cases before both state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate level, and before arbitral tribunals such as the American Arbitration Association. Additionally, Mr. Patout’s practice focuses on contractual negotiations, including contract drafting, and dispute resolution during all phases.

Martin C. Law is an associate in the litigation section of Patout & Shaw, PLLC. His primary practice areas are arbitration, mediation, oil and gas, commercial law, real estate litigation and development, construction law, and consumer transactions. I was raised in Mobile, Alabama, and attended high school at John S. Shaw. I graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences. I went to law school at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama; graduating and earning my admission to the Alabama Bar in 1990.
