A native El Pasoan, David Nuñez graduated from Montwood High School in 2003. Shortly after, David enlisted as an infantryman in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and completed two combat deployments to Iraq in 2006 and 2007-08. After being honorably discharged in 2009, he continued his educational ambitions at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2012.
