Biography

Amanda practices criminal defense and also provides entrepreneur's / small business legal services by providing concierge-level services for business formation, trademarks, copyrights & important contractual agreements.

Early on in her career as a trial attorney, Amanda discovered a passion for helping other lawyers and aspiring lawyers improve their craft, and I built a reputation as an educator on a variety of topics, including DUI defense, trial techniques, legal ethics, attorney wellness, and productivity. Amanda worked as a law professor for several years prior to opening my AJB Law firm where she combines both trial skills and talent for speaking and teaching,

Amanda’s experience in education provides strength in reducing the complicated and difficult down to the simple and actionable—for clients, opposing counsel, the judge, and the jury.

Amanda’s educational experiences started when she led the Criminal Defense Clinic and taught Trial Advocacy part-time. Later, she became a full-time law professor and law school administrator and taught courses that helped prepare students for success in law school, on the bar exam, and in practice.

Amanda directed the Internship program where she developed and taught a course focused on competencies and foundations for practice, and provided training to attorney-supervisors in best practices for mentoring and guiding externship students.

Amanda continues to train practicing attorneys by regularly teaching CLEs for attorneys focused on mentoring, self-care, and accepting feedback.

Building off her passion for helping others reach their goals and succeed in their careers, and after opening several small businesses, Amanda expanded her legal services to help other small business owners with the protection of their businesses and brands.

Amanda is currently developing several courses and materials that will provide community legal education for pre-law and law students, as well as pro-se litigants.
