Justice NOW
About Justice NOW
Legal services are provided ONLY for women incarcerated in California.
About this Organization:
Our mission is to end violence against women and stop their imprisonment. We believe that prisons and policing are not making our communities safe and whole but that, in fact, the current system severely damages the people it imprisons and the communities most affected by it. We promote alternatives to policing and prisons and challenge the prison industrial complex in all its forms. Justice Now is a non-profit organization specifically for Women incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections (prison industrial complex). We provide legal and supportive services to promote health, and justice for California's incarcerated Women. Justice Now's focus is solely in areas of needs identified by Women in California State prisons regarding healthcare access (Health Care Law), defense of parental rights (Family Law), and sentencing mitigation (Criminal Law).
