Jefferson County Pro Bono Program
The mission of the program is to provide legal assistance in civil matters to indigent and low income clients living in Jefferson, Hardin, Liberty and Orange Counties. The Pro Bono Program is partially funded by a grant from IOLTA. These funds exist in order to help those in need of legal services who are unable to pay for them. It is the goal of the Jefferson County Bar Association Pro Bono Program to provide legal representation to residents of Jefferson County who cannot afford to hire an attorney. The program relies entirely on local attorney volunteers to perform these services without pay. If any information provided to this office is found to be incomplete or untrue, the applicant’s eligibility will be terminated immediately and any attorney who has agreed to accept the case will be allowed to withdraw from that representation. Every effort will be made to provide adequate service for Spanish speaking applicants.
