Cleveland Homeless Legal Assistance Program

About Cleveland Homeless Legal Assistance Program

About this Organization:
The Committee to Aid the Homeless of the Cleveland Bar Association and the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless partner to provide this comprehensive program to meet the legal needs of the homeless population in Greater Cleveland. Our volunteer lawyers and law students work with the program's staff lawyer in area shelters and community centers to provide brief advice, counseling, information and extended legal representation, if needed, to individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We assist people to regain driving privileges, resolve credit problems, expunge criminal records, settle landlord-tenant disputes, avoid parole violations and receive social security and other public benefits. We currently visit a variety of sites and shelters. Click the weblinks above for more information.
