Zareh Beylerian
areh H. Beylerian, born in Beirut, Lebanon attended the Lycee Franco Libanais de Beyrouth until 1976 when his family emigrated to the United States. After completing high school in the United States, he attended university and graduate school, earning a Bachelor's Degree, an MBA, and a Law Degree. He is also completed the inaugural programme of the United Nations University, International Leadership Academy, in Amman, Jordan. His international background and extensive travel gave him the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of cultures as well as speak several languages, including English, French, Arabic, and Armenian, along with a working knowledge of Spanish.
Zareh taught law school for 12 years. He was an adjunct professor of law at Rutgers Law School, in Newark, New Jersey, from 1995 to 2007. He has taught Commercial Law, International Business Transactions, Real Estate Transactions, and Comparative Law. The Comparative Law course consists of a survey of legal systems worldwide - including the US common law system, civil law systems, and religious systems such as Islamic law - from their historic roots to present trends, and concludes with a focus on major aspects of international treaties and international law.
He is also a US Army veteran, serving as a US Army Reserve officer from 1999 to 2007. In 2004, he served on active duty in the Strategic Political-Military section of the Multi National Force – Iraq, stationed at the Headquarters of the Coalition Provisional Authority / Presidential Palace, Baghdad. His duties in the military included providing training for the Iraqi judiciary and serving as faculty in various international seminars in the United States and West Africa.
In 2007, Zareh was awarded the Equal Justice Medal from the Legal Services of New Jersey.
He now devotes his time entirely to the practice of law, but still enjoys teaching through his regular Q&A Sessions.
