Yvette Everhart is a shareholder in Sass Law Firm, has practiced labor and employment law in Florida since graduating from Stetson University College of Law and is an advocate of employee rights. Ms. Everhart is Board Certified in Labor & Employment Law by The Florida Bar with over 15 years of experience, making her well-versed in a wide variety of employment law issues. Over the years, Yvette has served on various committees and is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of the Labor and Employment Law Section of The Florida Bar, as well as a member of its Executive Council. On a national level, she is Employee Co-Chair of the Treatise Committee of the Section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association.
Ms. Everhart’s experience includes representing individual employees before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, as well as various government agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR), the Florida Public Employee Relations Commission (PERC), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and Florida’s unemployment agency, the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO).
Yvette Everhart has spoken at a variety of employment law educational conferences and is the author of several published articles. In 2021, she became the Southeast Regional Editor of the national treatise, Employment at Will, a State-by-State Survey. Yvette is a current member and past President of the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, also known as Florida NELA, and has been included on the Super Lawyers® list published by Thomson Reuters in the area of employment law. She made Lawdragon's 500 Leading Plaintiff Employment & Civil Rights Lawyers since 2020 and is AV Preeminent® rated by Martindale-Hubbell through its peer review survey, which is its highest peer rating standard.
