- Q. I was in a car accident on 10/15/2024. The other person was at fault (stated by the reporting officers).
- A: I’m sorry to hear about the challenges you’re facing—it’s a frustrating situation to be in. To address your question, you do not need a police report to pursue a claim against the at-fault driver. While a police report can be helpful, it is not the only way to prove what happened in the accident. Other forms of evidence, such as witness statements, photos of the scene, and repair or medical records, can be used to support your case.
If the insurance company closes your claim due to the lack of a police report, that does not prevent you from pursuing legal action against the at-fault driver to recover your damages, including the cost of repairing your car and other losses, such as lost ... Read More
- Q. Car Accident
- A: Sorry to hear you were injured. Auto accident cases can be complicated and the at-fault insurance company is not looking out for your best interests. I would highly encourage you to reach out to a Wisconsin personal injury attorney that can help assist you. I would try to hold off on speaking to the insurance company any further until you have spoken with an attorney.
If you would like to discuss your case, I am available at 608-356-5700. I offer free consultations so there would be no charge to you for that discussion. My website if you would like more information is www.mypiattorney.com
- Q. I am looking on how to stop harasement on my 32 year old daughter from her deceased boyfriends Mother.
- A: One option for the person being harassed is the filing of a petition for a harassment restraining order. I would encourage the person being harassed to speak with a local attorney regarding the matter. You can search for a local attorney on the Justia website. If you would like to review the Wisconsin Statute pertinent to this it is Wisconsin Statute 813.125.
