Biography

As an Associate at Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Binghamton office, Tyler defends the rights of federal and private employees who require assistance with harassment, disability retirement, retaliation, disciplinary, discrimination and adverse action, among a range of other legal matters including Title IX representation. Drawing from his experience as a litigation attorney with several notable law firms within the nation’s capital, Tyler brings a fresh perspective on federal labor and employment law to the area’s practice group at the firm.

Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Tyler was a litigation attorney with a prominent Washington, D.C. law firm, where he gained extensive experience in products liability and premises liability, as well as represented clients in settlement negotiations and mediations. In this role, he also conducted multiple complex litigation investigations within the fields of mass tort law, antitrust law and government contracts. Tyler has also worked as a litigation associate within a major law group in Washington, D.C. During this time, he conducted investigations concerning alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act on behalf of employees of multinational corporations.

Tyler obtained his juris doctorate from the Pennsylvania State University Law School, where he participated in moot court and was awarded the CALI Award in Antitrust Litigation. He was also a constitutional law tutor during law school. Tyler received his bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University, where he studied political science with a concentration in international policy. As an undergraduate, Tyler worked as a legal intern for the New York State Attorney General’s Office in the Division of Economic Justice, Consumer Frauds and Protection Bureau and the Broome County Public Defender’s Office.
