He specializes in legal malpractice, consumer protection, personal injury, class action and invasion of privacy. Tony pioneered the prosecution of fraud cases against purveyors of junk health insurance. He was lead counsel for the plaintiff in the seminal California privacy case, Shulman v. Group W Productions, 18 Cal. 4th 200 (1998), and was instrumental in the successful effort to institute statutory regulation of attorney advertising in television and radio. In 1998, California Lawyer magazine named him one of California’s top 20 lawyers, and in 2000, Editor and Publisher magazine named him one of the nation’s “Three Kings of Privacy,” in media litigation. He served as President of Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles in 2004, and as Secretary of Consumer Attorneys of California in 2011.
