Q. I've missed my court date and I believe there's a warrant out I'd like to get this taken care of asap who could help
A: Contact an attorney first thing in the morning! He or she may be able to get this matter recalendared prior to the warrant being served on you. Considering it’s a traffic matter, it may be a case that can be handled with a waiver of your Appearance. Thanks Tommy Kellis
Q. I just found out that a police report from 9 years ago says that I have a warrant for my arrest!
A: Contact an attorney from that county so he/she can look into the case and help you with it.
Q. Who do I talk to about applying jail credit to someone's jail sentence and do I need a lawyer?
A: You cannot represent someone else in court without being licensed to practice law.
Q. What steps do i have to to take to get jail credit applied to a sentence
A: Simply ask. As long as you are being held or were held in jail pretrial for that particular case, then the judge can apply pretrial confinement towards any active sentence you receive. By default you get your credit towards any active portion of a sentence. It can be applied towards a split sentence as well.
