In the capacities I've worked with Tim, yes he was certainly an effective attorney. I've seen him get up to speed quickly on a complex false advertising, contract, and tortious interference case and quickly become a high performing litigator with significant briefing responsibilities. In a federal trademark case, I learned from Tim as he effectively handled opposing counsel during a discovery conference.

I rate Tim as an "8" because I don't believe any lawyer qualifies for a "10" (nobody's perfect), and a "9" would represent that an attorney has very little room left for improvement, which in my mind would be reserved for someone at the tail-end of a career. I believe Tim's career is in its prime, and I would pit him against the heaviest of hitters.
