Thomas J. Gibson
Thomas J. Gibson's Response: David Gomes is NOT a client of mine nor has he ever been. His brother Paul retained my office to prepare an adult guardianship for him as he was concerned he was beginning to lose his faculties and wanted a guardianship in place for Mr. and Mrs. Cooper to care for him when the time arose. Paul also believed his brother David was dead because he had not heard from him an many years and David was older than Paul. Paul had a trust prepared for his estate prior to his guardianship and left the Coopers as his sole beneficiaries and successor trustees. I have been in litigation with David for over two years. He tried and failed to have the guardianship set aside while represented by the Nelson firm. He is now representing himself in proper person. David caused emotional distress to Paul when he was still alive. David's goal all along appears to get Paul's money and that is the fact of the matter. I have no duty to David. My duty is to my clients. I hope this clarifies things for the confused.
