Yes

Steve was one of the best lawyers I ever had the privilege to work beside. His analytical, research, and writing skills were superlative. His recollection of case authority from prior cases and research projects was such that younger attorneys often had to be reminded to not always ask Steve for the answers, but learn to develop the answers for themselves. Until he retired from full time practice, he was amazing.

A walking law library. Truly. He has an amazing recollection of legal authority.

Legal Analysis: Excellent

His analytical skills were such that he would spot issues nobody else saw, and often clarified things through the application of authorities others did not know. He was usually two steps ahead of his opposition.

Communication Skills: Excellent

Steve's writing was outstanding and powerful. His ability to explain complicated matters to clients was a strength as well.

Ethics and Professionalism: Excellent

Steve's ethics are superb. His word has always been enough, confirming things in writing were unnecessary.
