Steven B. Dorfman

With over two decades of experience in plaintiff personal injury law, Steven Dorfman is the managing attorney at The Perecman Firm, P.L.L.C. Known for his tireless dedication to injured individuals, workers, and their families, Steven is passionate about protecting their rights and ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve.

Throughout his career, Steven has represented thousands of clients, securing multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements. His case results have earned recognition on New York Law Journal’s “Top Verdicts and Settlements” list, and he has consistently been ranked among New York’s top attorneys by Super Lawyers (2019-2025). High-profile cases Steven has worked on include the 2015 Metro-North Accident, the 2013 Spuyten Duyvil train derailment, and the 2008 Manhattan Crane Collapse.

Steven focuses his practice on construction accidents, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and catastrophic injury cases. He represents clients in New York State Courts and U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.

A graduate of Brooklyn Law School and George Washington University, Steven is a first-generation American, the son of Argentine immigrants. Fluent in Spanish, he is able to deeply connect with clients who speak English as a second language, guiding them through the legal process with care and understanding.
