Activities: Sarah has written and lectured on a variety of health law topics, including EMTALA, The Joint Commission Standards, the medical staff fair hearing process, and impaired practitioners. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Sarah is on the board of directors for the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys and is chair of its Publications Committee, as well as editor-in-chief of the California Health Law News. She also co-chairs the Education and New Projects Committee for the Los Angeles Pro Bono Council. In 2003, she received Public Counsel's Homelessness Prevention Law Project "Volunteer of the Year" Award.
