Excellent Family Attorney at a Very Reputable Law Firm Robert Tsai, Senior Associate at Walters Gilbreath, successfully represented me in 4 different hearings. My main attorney is Brian Walters (since 2014). Brian Walters won primary custody for me on July 1, 2016. My ex succeeded in getting a child endangerment charge (criminal court) against me April 19th 2019, and then kept my son away from me from Easter weekend through July. My ex used bruises from my son falling on his mountain bike. She told the police and the DA that the bruises were from a whipping, even though I had sent 4 emails notifying her that the bruises were from my son falling on his bike. The police never asked me what happened or how my son received those bruises. I found out on April 22nd that I had a warrant out for my rest based on a class 3 felony. Three months later in the middle of July 2019, my ex filed in family court for sole custody based on the false family violence charge. Robert co-chaired with Brian at the initial temporary hearing in early September 2019. My ex was appointed temporary primary custody. I was ordered to attend “reunification therapy” with my son from October to December 2019 with Dr. Jean Guez. My ex successfully alienated me from my child for 7 months. Her motive for all this was to get back primary custody. She also owed $22,523 in child support. Robert handled the “Contempt of Child Support– Non-payment” hearing in October 2019. My ex was ordered to pay back child support with interest at $350 per month starting Jan 2020 for a total of $23,272 (including 6% interest). In the January 2020 hearing, the Judge granted me “expanded visitation” with my son during this temporary custody period. Robert handled the deposition for the custody battle in April, 2020. He did an excellent job deposing my ex and caught her in several lies. Robert wrote the Emergency Motion that we filed against my ex in late May 2020. My son had been running away from my ex starting in Jan 2020 when the Judge gave me expanded visitation. We asked for sole custody, for the Judge to confer with the child, the mother to be put on continuous supervision, and attorney fees. Robert handled this hearing in June, 2020. We were denied on me getting sole custody and denied on continuous supervision for my ex. However, we won with the Judge agreeing to confer with my child in chambers. Robert did an excellent job at this hearing. Robert successfully defended me at the enforcement hearing in August , 2020. My son would run away from my ex after I dropped him off at the meeting place for her period of possession. My ex and I both live in the same neighborhood, so my son would walk over to my house. My son ran away 5 times between January and May 2020. My ex filed the enforcement against me. Robert won at this hearing. Robert also assisted Brian Walters during the final hearing in the custody case (Aug 2020). We won. Her motion for change of custody based on the family violence indictment was denied. I retained primary custody and my ex was put on a shorter visitation schedule. The truth always comes out. As you can see, I had a very complex case. One that I would not wish on any single father. My son and I were put through a very difficult time – all based on lies and deceit by my son’s mother. Dr. Guez used the word “subterfuge” to describe the chaos that we experienced. My ex is a horrible person. Note that my criminal defense attorney got the Chief Prosecutor to dismiss the Class 3 Felony Child Endangerment Indictment in November 2020, without us going to trial. Here is what you get with Robert Tsai’s representation: Robert is a very smart attorney and a Baylor Law School graduate. Robert is very prompt to respond to all my emails and texts. Robert always kept me updated and answered all my questions. What I like about Robert the most is that he always had my best interest at heart. His questioning on the stand was aggressive. Robert is clean cut, a sharp dresser and has a very professional demeanor in court. I truly believe that he is well respected by the Judges in the family courts. My case was very complex and Robert was very patient with me. Robert also sympathized with what my son and I were going through, both personally and in court. Robert Tsai is an exceptional attorney. There are so many great qualities that I admire about Robert Tsai. I would highly recommend Robert to anyone needing a family law attorney. I’ve seen him in court and he is a winner. Robert has my cell number if anyone needs to speak with a previous client. I would be more than happy to talk to anyone who is thinking about hiring Robert Tsai at Walters Gilbreath PLLC Law Firm.

Biography

I left my native texas to study economics at Purdue University and graduated in 2010 with honors. After college, I attended Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas and graduated in February 2014. In law school, I competed in the National Health Care Law Moot Court competition and successfully made break out of 30 teams across the country. I also competed on the Transactional Law Meet team. Both of these competitions sharpened my advocacy skills I continue to use in my practice. During my first summer of law school, I interned with the Honorable Judge McFarland in the 133rd District Court in Houston, and the internship taught me insights relating to the courtroom I rely on still. Before starting the Law Office of Robert Tsai, PLLC, I worked at a defense litigation firm in Houston on cases involving serious personal injuries and a medium-size family law litigation firm.
