Robert S. Iwrey
Award-winning Healthcare Litigating & Transactional Attorney-National PracticeROBERT S. IWREY is a founding partner of The Health Law Partners, P.C. He graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan in 1988. While at the University of Michigan, he was an Executive Member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society & was a member of the Golden Key National Honor society. In 1993, Mr. Iwrey earned his J.D. at Wayne State University Law School, where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Advanced Legal Writing & an award-winning member of Moot Court. Mr. Iwrey has been a practicing litigator since 1993. In addition, he has been practicing healthcare transactional law since 1999. Mr. Iwrey provides counsel in all areas of healthcare law, including but not limited to licensure, staff privileges, contracts, physician practice issues, healthcare investigations and audit defense. Mr. Iwrey was admitted to the Michigan Bar and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan in 1993, the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan in 2003, and the New York Bar in 2009. Mr. Iwrey is a current member of the State Bar of Michigan (Member, Health Care Law Section), the State Bar of New York (Member, Health Law Section), the American Health Lawyer's Association, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association. Mr. Iwrey was elected by his peers to serve on the governing board of the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section (HCLS), Council from 2005 to 2011, where he served two (2) consecutive terms as its Treasurer and chaired its Pro–Bono Work Group. In addition, Mr. Iwrey served on and chaired the Oakland County Medical –Legal Committee, served on & chaired the HCLS Website Committee & Technology Subcommittee of the HCLS' Substantive Law Committee. Mr. Iwrey has been awarded the distinguished AV rating by Martindale–Hubbell, a SuperLawyer in Health Care since 2004 & named a Fellow by the HCLS.

Subsection (4) provides that violation of this statute does not give rise to a civil cause of action for damages.
