- Robert has been working on patent and trade secret litigation matters covering various technologies, such as semiconductor processing, semiconductor memory devices, computer systems, hard drives, and liquid crystal displays for over 10 years. These cases have included: OPTi v. AMD (ED TEX) (lead counsel; pending), OPTi v. AMD et al. (ED TEX) (lead counsel, pending); Realtime Data v. Packeteer et al. (ED TEX) (pending), MediaTek v. Sanyo (ED TEX), Plasma Physics and Solar Physics v. Mitsubishi and Analog Display Inc.; Plasma Physics v. Fujitsu; Plasma Physics v. Sharp (as well as over 20 other cases for Plasma Physics); Saifun Semiconductor v. AMD and Fujitsu; Convolve and MIT v. Compaq Computer Corp. and Seagate; Multi-Tech v. Compaq Computer Corp., College Savings Bank v. Florida Prepaid Postsecondary Education Expense Board (case went to the U.S. Supreme Court). In addition, Robert manages the patent prosecution of United States and foreign applications, including reissue applications and reexaminations for a number of clients, while providing overall counseling for the management of intellectual property assets. In this regard, Robert also provides counseling related to opinion work, intellectual property licensing and product clearances.
