Robert M. Brown II
Robert M. Brown II, Esq. - US Business Immigration Attorney
In addition to being a retired United Nations diplomat and former U.S. diplomat, I have been a long-time expat in more than 20 countries for over 35 years. As result I have developed unique understandings and insights of many people, countries, cultures, immigration needs and situations, that are useful when assisting, counselling or representing clients.
Further reinforcing my qualifications and experience as an immigration attorney and counsellor, I have had a significant career globally as a university student, Peace Corps Volunteer (Morocco), consultant, attorney and chameleon traveller in more than 50 countries across Europe, Africa, Caribbean, the Pacific, Middle East, and Asia. My more than 35 years experience abroad has been key to my innate ability to establish professional, social, and cultural understandings of and rapport with foreign nationals across all backgrounds. In addition to my legal knowledge and experience, possession of such ‘cultural capital’ allows me to effectively understand and passionately represent many foreign nationals seeking legal entry in to the U.S.
In addition to my law degree, I studied economics and international affairs at Schiller University in Paris and earned a Master’s degree in International Development from the American University (WDC), and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Loyola University-Los Angeles. I hail from and grew up in Pasadena, California, and am an avid skier, horseman, outdoorsman, furniture designer/craftsman, traveller, chef, and a classical performing arts patron.
