Richard K. Hellerman
Stephen Bilkis & Associates
Aggressive, pragmatic, energetic, zealous representation of clients' interests, both in court and out of court, is a succinct summary of my experience and what I bring to the representation of all my clients.
My trial experience and ability is my biggest professional strength. I have been fortunate to try scores of cases, before judges and juries, representing multinational corporations, family owned businesses and individuals in a wide variety of matters. I have particular expertise and experience in prosecuting and defending emergent litigation matters such as temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions.

- I worked at Arnstein & Lehr from the time I graduated law school in 1987 through the end of 2011. In that time, I amassed extensive trial experience in a variety of matters, including commercial litigation (shareholder disputes, shareholder oppression claims, non-competition and non-solicitation covenants), tort defense work (medical malpractice, personal injury and product liability), employment litigation, probate litigation, and tax and bankruptcy matters. I also represented a client in asbestos litigation throughout Illinois for over 15 years. I have over 20 jury trials as well as numerous bench trials in Illinois, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin. I have significant experience handling emergent equitable cases seeking and defending against temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions.
