Activities: His memberships and professional organization include the American, Arkansas, Texas and Houston Bar Associations, as well as Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He was appointed to the Federal Rules of Evidence Committee for the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Griffin is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, The American Board of Trial Advocates, and is a Stalwart member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Activities: While a resident in Arkansas, he was elected to the Arkansas senate in 1967 where he served until 1971. In 1972, he was appointed to the Arkansas Department of Corrections by Governor Dale Bumpers and served in that capacity through 1984, serving as Chairman from 1978 until 1984. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the First State Bank of Crossett, Arkansas since 1974. Some of his civic and community endeavors include serving as president of the Crossett Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Crossett Airport Commission. He has been a speaker at Continuing Legal Education Seminars in Arkansas and Texas and remains active in the legal community of both states.
